Will Karlsen leads a team of experts who consult, coach, design and deliver high impact learning. The team brings a breadth of skills born out of business, psychology and the arts; a blend that enables us to explore what you do, how you do it and define why it works - or doesn’t work. 

We’re super observant and make sense of people, systems and relationships so that you can make real world change that matters in your business. We’ve got decades of experience, a mountain of knowledge and we’re brutally honest – we hold you and us equally accountable for fantastic outcomes.

  • Emotion is especially useful when you can talk about it constructively whilst feeling it

  • Be an energiser - it’s the currency of a healthy relationship

  • Do more of doing the right thing than being right

  • Finding a healthy balance; too much or too little of most things is unsettling

  • Attention, interest and care are the start point for good conversations and good relationships

  • Have an opinion and contribute, not too many or too much but definitely participate

  • Find out other people’s opinions and let them shape yours

  • Making an effort on behalf of yourself and others feels good and other people love it

  • If you’re not making mistakes, you’re probably repeating the same old stuff

  • Take some risks and plot the choices you’ve made so that you can reflect and learn from experience

  • Make a commitment and stick to it - then practice what you’ve committed to

  • Discomfort can be a good thing, it often a sign that there’s something new happening

When your people and business need change and you wonder why things operate in the way they do the answer is likely to be buried in some well-established complexity; if it was simple, you'd likely have nailed it and be on your way. Our consulting service demystifies the micro and macro behaviours, emotions and relationships that define your people, systems and business. We help you make the connections between how your people function and how they perform and, most importantly, what influences them in either direction. With a clear understanding of what you're challenged with we offer practical, achievable and sustainable strategies that both test and transform.

Coaching

If something's changed in your world that wobbles you or you sense that you're missing some key skills or insights our coaching helps you work at pace to discover what's up and how to change. We use an "active coaching" approach which means your coach is fully engaged with you and part of the conversation - with ideas, experience, views and insights. We help shine a light on what's really impacting and influencing you so that you can reconnect the dots and make new sense of exactly what's at play in your world. Great coaching goes beyond setting goals and strategising, it enables you to make profound sense of how you navigate people and business and what you need to exercise to be fully fit. 

Learning

How we do learning: Inputs (what we do): challenge, up close, personal, relevant. Outcomes (what you do): smart, agile, emotionally intelligent, curious, inspiring, relevant. Rationale (why it works): we find the untested, unfamiliar and underdeveloped, bits of your psychological, emotional and practical skill sets. We then test, flex and exercise the things you need to master so that you define what happens next. Objective: to help you be a step ahead, consistently - which means you need to be able to make sense of everything and everybody (including self) – a bit like seeing around corners. Experience (how it feels): not unlike dangling over a cliff edge hoping you’ve got the right equipment and a fantastic instructor.
